First Sunday Stroll with the Niagara Etsy Artisan Team went very well for a first time show. Congratulations & thanks to Erin Snow for organizing the event. We had awful weather off and on throughout the day with thunderstorms threatening. Lots of young families came out for the event and Mayor Dave dropped by to see everyone. Blossom bakery was selling yummy treats.
Next up is Art on Water a project sponsored by the Canadian Government and part of the Niagara Night of Arts Project. Many local Niagara artists are participating. We were asked to bring examples of our work to be photographed and each artist was to be videoed presenting a brief artists statement about their work. Voice overs were to be done for those who could not make the video taping. June 10th at 8pm the one and only presentation will be made behind Welland City Hall on the canal. It will be interesting to see the number of people other than the participating artists who show up.
