A great artist, instructor and friend has passed away.
As soon as the Pelham Art Association membership new that Margaret was coming to do a workshop the phone at Mary Powley's never stopped ringing. Everyone loved coming to hear Margaret teach. She so willingly shared her knowledge and talent with us. I used to wait for my first glimpse of what Margret was wearing, she dressed in the colours she painted and carried it off with a dramatic flare!
The first time I was exposed to Margaret's work it equally fascinated me and took my breath away. I couldn't take my eyes off the piece it just filled me up to the brim. It filled my heart with the warm vibrant colours, the rich contrasts in value and the fluid movement in the composition. I will miss Margaret as will our whole art group.
